Great place for direct acces to Gainesville, but also quiet enough for rest!
Christy welcomed me right in as if I were a lifelong friend! The immediate warm greeting atmosphere and attentiveness of all the staff was very welcome while not being overwhleming. I will defintely stay here again at my next visit!

Cute, boutique hotel in the downtown area close to the college. Excellent coffee on-site w a bar is very convenient. The staff are super friendly, very welcoming & add personal touches that make your stay memorable (thanks Kristi & Gabe!). Beds are comfortable & our rooms were clean.
Wow, thank you for the beautiful feedback! We're so happy you loved the boutique atmosphere, the cozy beds, and our downtown location. Having a great cup of coffee or a evening drink just steps from your room is definitely one of our favorite perks too! The Gainesville Lodge was excellent! Christie at the front desk was very communicative and helpful when I arrived late at night. The room (including bed and bathroom) was genuinely spotless and comfortable. I was in town for work at the UF campus and the Lodge is only a couple blocks east of campus and very near to many good restaurants. Not a single complaint!

We had the honor of hosting Makaya McCraven @makayamccraven and his band as they played at Heartwood Sound Stage @heartwoodsoundstage earlier this month.
Makaya McCraven is a prolific drummer, composer, and producer whose boundary-defying work has placed him at the forefront of modern improvised music. Described by the New York Times as “one of the best arguments for jazz’s vitality,” McCraven has built an internationally acclaimed body of work that blurs the lines between jazz, hip-hop, and global folk traditions. Born in Paris in 1983 and raised in Massachusetts, McCraven channels a multicultural upbringing into a sound rooted in tradition and driven by innovation.

Dean moved to Gainesville in 2021, taking over the Sales Department for the TownePlace Suites in 2022, first as Sales Manager and later as Director of Sales.
He is also active in the community serving the Alachua County Hospitality Council, first as Social Media Manager, then as Vice President, before his current role as sitting President. Dean has also served the Greater Gainesville Young Professionals, as Connect Chair for 2 years, and currently as the group’s Historian working to build communities within the city. In addition, he served on the Membership Committee for the Builder’s Association of North Central Florida, and was named rookie of the year for 2024.
Dean also spends his time serving various Non-Profits with volunteer hours, support, and mentoring students through the Education Foundation, and Take Stock with Children.
